Usually when UBCD4win doesn't work for me I like to run stress tests continuously after unplugging the cpu fan.
I get up, grab a beer and ponder the day's happenings.
To finish off i remove my pants and jam my **** into the cpu heat sink. (K.C.)

Now, where to go with the flood of questions regarding version 3.6?
I downloaded and built just fine, however, I was unable to test the build, as the plugin to create a bootable USB stick has been removed. I only use the USB stick or an external harddisk, many notebooks haven't got CD drivers anymore.
Beta-testers have probably used that approach as well, to avoid a pile of burned cd's. So, have you got a tip on how to create a bootable USB stik based on the bartpe ISO?
Best regards

Netb - Within the UBCD4WIN directory there is a file called UBUSB.EXE. Use this application to convert it into a USB key.
As for 3.6 I did notice the option is not longer there for using Windows Explorer as the shell. Was this left out on purpose or was this due to issues with certain things?
I was able to take the config tool from 3.5 and inject it into 3.6, along with some more tweaking I was able to get the explorer to work with 3.6, just wondering if I will run into issues later on from doing that.

I was anxious to test the beta to see if this issue had been resolved.
But what I was not anticipating is that my D: drive, a Western Digital WD6400AAKS, a SATA drive, is not recognized by UBCD4Win 3.6, although it is recognized and usable by 3.50 and 3.22.

I once built my UBCD4WIN CD's with random OEM cd's as well, coping with all sorts of warnings (and errors), until I tried the tip, using the windows server 2003 trial available for download at microsoft - had no problems at all since.

I know in the 3.60 it appears the base drivers net package was left out, you can re-add this in and make sure you get the latest mass storage driver packs as this may help. The other thing you can try is to gather all the info the programmers would need and be sure to list so they might be able to address it better. I would also try injecting the drivers manually into your finished UBCD4Win. Do you use a CD/DVD or a USB key?
