I was lucky enough to just receive an ATI HD5850 video card. Upon opening it up, I found that it requires two power connections, and my Antec 650W PSU has just one dedicated PCIe Video power line (6+2). I have worked with my own computers enough to know that I am not as smart as I think, and have been bitten in the ass more than once as a result. So, I wanted to ask if you know of any problems I might encounter in using an adapter to take two 4-pin molex power connections to a 6-pin video connector. Such adapters seem to be available on the Web for anywhere from about $3 to $10. Any advice?

I think since you have a decent sized Antec power supply you should be fine with an adapter.
I have used them several times in the past for customers computers but that was only when the video card required 1. I think I've only dealt with 1 video card recently that needed two connectors but it was a new build so we took that into consideration when we purchased the power supply for it.

Have you checked out our Store here? I do not have any of those adapters listed on the site right now but I know I have some. If you want to order from me I will be glad to get the adapter listed on the site. Please let me know and I'll gladly get it listed asap so you can order it. I would say one of those would probably be about $2 and the shipping should be slightly under $2. Shoot me a PM, email, or whatever and we'll help you out.

I had the time to list it really quick. I haven't had the chance to take a picture though. Here is a link:

It is only $1.25 and shipping should only be a few dollars.

Thanks for your reply, and thanks for making the part available so quickly. I tried to find it locally, but neither my local computer store nor Radio Shack carried it. Whenever I need the odd part, I will think of you first from now on, as well as whenever I need anything computer related.

Thank you I appreciate that. I have other stuff sitting around and it is just a matter of someone needing something before I get it up on the site.
So if you don't see something on my site, shoot me an email or post here. Email would be preferred because sometimes I forget to check in here often enough.

I try to offer everything at the lowest price possible and as you can see have affordable shipping options. Thank you very much for the order, hopefully we can help you out again.
